Adrienne Bellis is the director and founder of Belisama Irish Dance. Adrienne began Irish Dancing in California at the Claddagh School of Irish Dancing. She competed as an adult and went to the Nationals, winning 1st place as part of an 8-hand ceili team. Upon moving to Santa Fe, she danced with the Celtic de Santa Fe performing company including shows with the Trinity Irish Dance Company and Eileen Ivers. She also coached the competitive dancers in preparation for competition. Adrienne is a professional singer as well. Her voice can be heard at Epcot Center in Florida, and on various film and video soundtracks. In addition to dancing, she works as a studio musician in Santa Fe and performs around town with local musicians.
Celia Kessler (teacher) has been with Belisama Irish Dance from the beginning. She became a CRN Regional Champion last year and competed in Dublin, Ireland at the 2007 Irish Open. Celia danced for many years with the Celtic de Santa Fe company, performing with Natalie MacMaster, Lunasa, Eileen Ivers, and the Trinity Irish Dance Company.
Her name means "Summer Bright". She has also been associated with wisdom and healing, forge and craft.
